Is there any way to filter out the loud soundtrack so that I can understand the dialogue and the plot? I have those first 3 episodes on DVD.

That is exactly how I feel about many DVDs that I try to watch in my own home, with or without surround sound. I thought I was alone, I use the captions, I have gotten accustomed to reading every time I watch a DVD or even television.

I don't know about a filter, but did you try setting it so you can read what they say? I think you can do that somewhere in the dices menu.

Mute it and turn on your caption titles on your TV.
