What exactly is it and how does it work?
The job in which I'm applying offers a Pay Card account to receive ones pay.

And I'm not refering to 'Pay Pal'.
I'm talking about a 'Pay Card account' as a method to recieve my payment..
How does it work?

a pay pal is nothing but a place that holds money till it is move and when it is there is a fee -- i would tell the firm no -- i would like my check deposited in my checking account!!!

It sounds like they issue you a debit card with the net pay on it rather than a check.

While this eliminates the need to cash a check (or even have a bank account to deposit the cash into), I don't think your landlord is going to accept rent payments by debit card.

Apparently you would have to use an ATM to get cash, any place that takes a Visa card would accept the debit card, so groceries are no problem.
