Hello ,
Prepare to back-up all data as to transfer it to an external Hard Drive . Data such as : Pictures , Websites , My Documents . The softwares like Media players and Java and your ISP can be down;loaded later . Install your Anti-Virus and Anti Spywarev softwares after you hav updated all of Windows' updates and after your ISP softwares . To Restore your PC > Insert the Operating CD /Shut down PC/Press the power button and immediately start tapping the f10 key until you see the screen that gives options to begin restoring your PC. Select [RAW] . No Partition . When asking for advice , enter your PC name and brand . Going by your post reguarding the SP2 fail to install may only because your Anti-Virus is stopping the install . Cabinets ? I am not sure what that is .
