i answered the same question the other day, and the answer is the same. shaving is not good since it takes away the protection it provides the body. Trimming is fine and will not cause any problems or much itching. Just do not shave.

These other ppl are all weird.. Iv been shaving for year.. bald.. doesn't look like a 6yr old, doesn't itch, and certainly smells better as there is no hair to catch the bacteria that causes the oder.. like usuall, ppl just make up answers that they have no idea about.. also, shaved is way better during sex as the pubic region is very sensitive and the feeling when a shaved pubic region touches another shaved pubic region is FANTASTIC!! we live in a time when the hair is not needed for protection and is just an evolutionary left over.. I SAY SHAVE AWAY. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!

I've only ever shaved twice, and the itching wasn't as bad as people say it is. However, I had to apply cream to it to prevent much itching. And to be honest, I didn't like the results. I was left with a hairy chest, hairy legs, and a penis area that looked like that of a 6-year-old. So I now just keep mine trimmed. Trim every month or so.

The itching is just the beginning. You sweat a lot in that area, and the pubic hair allows air to circulate, so the sweat evaporates. If you shave or trim too close, the area stays wet, and all kinds of nasty micro-organisms (bacteria amd fungus) have a population explosion on your skin. You get rashes, zits, and smell bad -- it's much healthier to keep the hair, or at least most of the hair.

Personally, it's not so much that it itches but it is more like a prickely feeling. It can be kind of a turn on when your p*nis brushes up agaist the stubble.
The drawback is that when you are shaved you need to wash & powder down there a couple times a day cause of the sweat & odor.

Just trim it. Most people have really bad itching.
