Then why do they allow guns in America? Guns are only meant to kill people think about all the crimes and people getting killed by guns. Why do they allow this to happen? why don't they just confiscate all the guns people have? And if they get caught with firearms arrest them they could make it illegal ya know?

Your point is flawed, because I believe I could outrun somebody who has a chain gun firing at me, being that they'd get bogged down by the weight of the gun.
I'm not a gun owner, and don't plan on being one. Heck, I've never even held a gun. However, for the sake of argument, let's say that the only purpose for a gun is to kill people. Even if that were the case, it is legal to kill in defense of a human life, and it is the best tool for that purpose. Not only is it legal, but it's a good idea. As the saying goes, "if guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
