1. Individual: Joe Thornton overcame a 12 point deficit in 2005-2006 to win the scoring title (Mario Lemieux overcame an 8 point deficit once and Wayne Gretzky overcame a 7 pt deficit once. At one point this year, Sidney Crosby was 12 points behind Zetterberg and could tie Thornton's record)
Team: 127 teams have scored 6 goals to overcome 5 goal deficits to win
Team: The Calgary Flames once made up a 23 pt deficit to make the playoiffs with an amazing 2nd half.

2. Individual: Joseph Malone of the Quebec Bulldogs scored 7 goals against the Toronto St Pats on January 31, 1920
Team: The Montreal Canadiens scored 16 goals against the Quebec Bulldogs on March 3, 1920

3. The most goals scored in one game between the two teams is 21
On Janaury 10, 1920 the Montreal Canadiens beat the Toronto St. Pats 14-7 in Montreal
On December 11, 1985, the Edmonton Oilers throttled the Chicago Black Hawks 12-9 in Chicago (Poor LITY)

1) The answer to this is debatable in my opinion, a great many players have come back from career ending injuries, retirements, etc. My personal opinion is that Bobby Orr's comeback attempt was greater than Mario's (Mario retired, He COULD have continued playing if he wanted to - Bobby was told he may never play again and came back and played again (and av eraged greater than a point a game).

2. 7, Joseph Malone, for the Quebec Bulldogs

3. 21, done twice
January 10, 1920 Montreal Canadiens 14 Toronto Saint Patricks 7

December 11, 1985 Edmonton Oilers 12 Chicago Black Hawks 9 (at Chicago Stadium no less!)

1. Since the question didn't specify individual or team, i'll say 41-42 Maple leafs - down 3-0 in best of seven against Detroit, won next 4 games to win the Stanley Cup

74-75 NY Islanders- down 3-0 against Pittsburgh Penguins, won next four to win 2nd round series, then went down 3-0 in next round to Flyers before losing in 7 games. Flyers were so worried they actually brought in Kate Smith to sing "God Bless America" in person.

2 of only 3 North American professional sports teams to accomplish this feat ( the other being the 2004 Red Sox)

I ranked Toronto higher since they were the first to do it and also did it to win the Cup.

2. and 3. have already been covered.

I believe 6 goals down in the third has been done a few times for biggest comebacks. The other 2 have been answered already.
