That are still living in environments similar to that of the setting of "Pirates of the Caribbean"? For example no electricity, or cars, people still carry swords and dress like they did in the 18th/early 19th century? If you have watched the films you'll know what i mean, i'm just curious as to if anyone still lives like this. Thanks.

If you hang on for a while, Britain is going to end up like that in a few decades.

No, certainly not all those things anyway. There are parts of the world that still TALK like they're from the 17th century, and whilst there may be parts of the world where people still carry swords (though I can't think of any) and where electricity and cars don't exist it's mostly because they're third world and haven't changed a lot for thousands of years. Even in the films it's acknowledged that the "golden age" of piracy was over, and that they're a dying breed.

Yes they do - world over. Well, some people live without electricity and cars - not so much the swords. I'm sure many tribes in Africa and Asia have weapons to protect themselves and live without mod cons. They are probably much happier without phones bleeping every two seconds and not having to get up everyday to do a boring job they hate, but instead living a life of freedom, in a nice place, surrounded by people they love - together , in a group, not isolated like many people in this society are. Even some people in this country live a very simplistic lifestyle. don't think they would wear the same costumes though!

In Brazil if you leave the cities you will find lots of people with no electric and carrying machete to clear the land. If you go to places like Bahia (equatorial Brazilian state) this is a real regular occurrence.
I'm sure it's like that in most of the world when you leave the industrialised cities behind.
