It depends on the leather jacket and where you are wearing it. It is okay to wear a leather blazer with dress trousers, a dress shirt, trousers and necktie to most social occasions. However, I would not wear a leather bomber jacket and a casual shirt to church or to work.

Read this website and maybe then you'll change your mind about wearing a dead cow skin on your back buddy and enjoy the modern materials of 2007 that can also keep you fashionably warm:

EDIT: Some people around here have ther facts wrong! the cows used for LEATHER are different from the cows used for meat and milk! The leather cows bodies are just wasted!

I'm guessing your talking about the environment unlike some people who only care about fashion. I personally think it is alright to wear a leather jacket as long as you wear it often and only have 1. Their very nice but you don't want to be that unkind to the enviroment

Depends on the jacket, and the occasion.

Motorcycle jackets should only be worn while riding a motorcycle. (no need for posers)

A nice leather jacket is usually appropriate, but not in a dressier
situation where a suit or sportcoat is called for.

No,

as long as the skin for the leather is obtained as a byproduct from the meat industry or such, without the animal being skinned alive.

But, that's just my opinion

Otherwise no, I quite like a leather jacket.

well i don't wear or support leather because i'm a vegetarian but it's not like a sin. i don't think it's wrong. It's your choice really. i personally don't wear it but i think if someone wants to wear leather whatever floats their boat. i just don't want to touch it.

If cattle are going to be raised to provide food, then it is only appropriate/efficient that every single part of the animal be utilized. Enjoy your leather.
