I am trying to put together a good holiday outfit for x-mas parties/ New Years. I bought a really cute deep red wrap dress (knee length) that I'm wearing with some strappy beige heels. I'm looking for a good coat to wear with it. I'm thinking about this one...

the problem is that beige doesn't usually look good on me. I'm a redhead and have very pale skin. I'm afraid I'll look eally washed out. What do you think? I would be wearing tan nylons with it, so at least my legs would have some color.

I'm pretty set on the shoes I have. They are adorable! Tan leather/wood heel....very retro and perfect with the dress. Plus tan shoes make your legs look longer :)

I was worried about how the nylons would look too...but when I tried it all on it looked fine. I wore the dress the other night (with a coat that looked terrible!), and got several compliments on the outfit.

Oooh I definatly like the 2nd one more. I think it would look way better with your skin and hair color. Otherwise you would look washed out.
They are both really cute coats though, good choices.

i like either one . however why dont you do a silver sandal w/ the red dress . I really dont like the beige shoe / tan nylons idea , but thats just me . I really like the black / white optic print , or you could do a red coat to match the red dress .

1] be sure your nylons are not darker than your shoes
2] for a redhead, the color I would suggest is a deep plum, forest green, smoke blue, or a gray.
Since the only one available here is the plum, go for it!
I like the second one!

the second, most people can not pull of a beige coat, unless you have the right skin tone, so it's best not to chance it, and get the black, it will look very classic.
