it really depends on you... California is a beautiful place to live, but you need to think about living situations and work, and it also depends on how much you love your boyfriend and how much he loves you in return, the decision is completely up to you.

The weather is perfect here. The only snow is in the mountains in Mt. Laguna, which is about an hour from SD.

The night life is pretty tame but there's loads of stuff to do here.

The downside is the cost of living here. Hope you guys can find good paying jobs here in San Diego.

I'd stay in Chicago until your bf is ready to become your husband -- then I'd consider uprooting my life to be with him.

But you could go visit and see if you like it, if you can find a job, etc.

It wouldn't be WISE to just up and move without making sensible plans first, because if you go and are dependent upon your bf for everything, you could end up feeling isolated and lonely.

It just depends on your situation. If it mean that you and ur bf will have to have a long term relationship then I would go with him. Other wise I would advise you to stay in Chicago. Its a beautiful city in my opinion and its full of things to do and culture. San Diego on the other hand has the beach and sea world and thats about it. California is a terrible place to live!

Do you enjoy fantastic weather most of the year? Enjoy great nightlife? It will seem like heaven compared to the mid-west.
