I try to listen all year long for ideas. You can usually hear people say,I wish I had this or that.Within reason of course.
But anyway......it's a good way to get ideas for friends and family and works for me.

In my department for our "secret Santa" gift exchange, it's fairly easy for me. Since everyone else I work with is at least 20 years older than I am, they seem to be quite appreciative of any cheap gift. For them, "it's the thought that counts."

Usually, it is very easy because I go off their interests, hobbies or collections. My husband is not as easy because he really doesn't like gifts. I usually get unusual things that people won't buy for themselves.

Really easy. Of course, I've been shopping since June, so I have had plenty of time to consider.

Its easier than buying something "shooting from the hip" or "a shot in the dark."
THE challenge is the cost of the gift that person would like to have, isn't it?
Thanks for asking!

Ron

Not sure I can help you. After 36 years I still haven't managed to get it right with my wife.
