i have recently had food poisoning which means i was seperated from my babies who are in intensive care due to risk of infection.

im starting to feel better and was wondering if anyone knew at which point im not going to be a risk to my babies

i am so desperate to get back to them, i miss them dearly but i dont want to infect them

i have been away from them now for 4 days, i still see them everyday through some glass but its not the same..

when is it safe to get back in with them to hold them? and
when can i start to eat solid food again? until now i have been on a soft diet.

Yer I had food poisoning from a chicken burger I got going through the drive through of KFC. It lasted for three days as far as I know so you will get better soon you've been through alot with having these babies and all so take a rest until it goes away.If it gets worse do go see the doc.

I'm surprised u have not been told not to feed ur children on ur body milk when u urself r sick. Being a man I've more knowledge about it. U 'll easily pass on ur disease to children. If u r having cold, the virus would pass on to children. Children's immunity system is too weak in the first six months. In any case u must have someone at ur place as support in the event u r sick. U should call ur own mother and mother-in-law for the first few months after ur delivery. Old women know better. Even otherwise u should prepare urself by reading some good book on baby care. Yes, it's very torturing to be away from ur children but it's for their own good that u r away. Bear with it, pl.

Even though you're feeling better it still takes a few days,
For your system to really get back to normal just be patient.

Thanks ever so much :)
And I'm sure everything will be alright xxx

i'm not sure how you would be able to pass food poisoning on to your children since it requires ingestion of contaminated food, perhaps you are breast feeding? That doesn't explain them being in intensive care...... You should ask your doctor.
