I'm I'll dried out, dead tired, headache and fatigued.....this cold started 9 days ago and I'm still OUTTA it. I missed 3.5 days of work last week and I was praying that this weekend would make me get better but here I am Sunday afternoon still feeling like dog doo!

How many more days until a cold will go away?

Three days coming, three days staying, three days going....as my granny said. Which means you should expect a cold with no other infections to last about 9 days. This will depend on whether or not you are in good health, eat right, and rest of course. Maybe you will feel better after the weekend, but if you still feel miserable you may have a secondary infection that requires a doctor's care.

Drink lots of fluids (juices and water) stay in bed and keep warm. You should feel better in a 9 - 10 days.

Of course there is no cure. You must sit it out until your immune system works out how to overcome this invader, and that takes five days. Everyone has a favourite remedy. One famous cure (suggested by Samuel Pepys) is to put your hat on the bedpost and drink enough whiskey until you see two hats! Well it certainly makes the symptoms bearable.

Good Luck!

It takes three days to get a cold.
You have it for another three days.
And then it takes three more days to get rid of it.

If you still have a cold after nine days, it must be a separate virus. You caught a new cold, while you had the old one.

Well, I heard that it is 3 weeks with medication and 21 days without (do the math). But, maybe you don't have a cold. It could be the flu.
