Diet and Exercise! just kidding.. but seriously Diet and exercise. You don't have to go on a full blown diet all the time. I guess it depends on the how much wieght you want to lose and how fast. I think the best thing is to drink a lot of water! Drink water all day and eat what you want but in small portions. Be active, take the stairs sometimes and don't sleep 12 hrs a day. Get up early and have a full day of activity. Maybe pick up bicycling, inline skating, waterskiing, cross-country skiing etc. Going on a boring diet and going to gym may produce results but it's hard to stick to. Doing simple things may not take the weight off as fast but is something you might be more likely to stick to and be healthy for life.

I have lost 35 pounds this past year, and have 10 more to go. I did it with counting calories (1200 per day) and walking for 1/2 an hour every day on the treadmill. After the 1st of the year, I am incorporating free weights so I can tone up and gain strength.

Not using the computer as much; you eat more and do less physical activity. Cutting off little things like soda (even if you only drink diet!), eating less bread and salt. Limiting the amount of sweet per week...Taking the stairs instead of the elevator, walking to the store instead of driving/taking the bus/train.
Little things help more than those crazy diets.

Well i previously tried a diet where i lost half a stone in a week - unfortunately this involved eating only one low fat meal a day and snacking and ice cubes and drinking water, trust me THIS WAS NOT FUN!
Now I'm exercising which doesnt cause me to lose weight but is shaping my body nicely and allows me to eat what ever the hell i want :D

Oh dear DP, I luvit too! Just last week I started counting calories. I never realized how difficult that is. It has also made me realize all the junk that I eat......AND the QUANTITY
as well! Fudge cycles have now become my snacks.
Paying attention to what we put into our mouth, makes one aware of what AND how much one consumes throughout the day. In addition, I've increased my activity. Lastly, I've added Metamucil, since less intake has confused "regularity" as well. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning. I cant wait til nx wk!

I never really diet. When I need to lose weight I just cut back on portions and increase exercise and h2o. I never begrudge myself a TASTE of anything and I always give into cravings.
