A truly sad song, unfortunately. I don't remember the title, even. The refrain said, "I've seen the needle and the damage done, a little part of it in everyone, gone, gone, the damage done."
My first love was addicted to heroin. When I walked away, I never saw him again. I had to leave or go down with him. I think Neil Young wrote the song. It was so sad.
I'm glad though that I got to walk away, two months later he got another girl pregnant-that could have been me, but I would not sleep with him. He was a real argument for abstinence.
