There is a difference between a cross and a crucifix so I would suggest that you clarify what you are looking for because the usage is different.
There are multiple styles of crosses and crucifixes. The usage also depends on the situation, such as the usage during the Mass vs the usage during a procession, etc.

it's a symbol that is widely known. jesus was crucified on the cross so it can represent his sacrifice to save the people
