I don't recall many mortals marrying gods, with exception to Thetis marrying the mortal Peleus (parents of Achilles), and Ariadne marrying Dionysus. There were many mortals listed as the "consort" of gods, but not in the sense of a husband or wife; rather, it was a more polite way of saying it was someone that god had been sleeping with, and probably had children with. But no, if a woman were to marry a god, she usually was not granted godhood (though there were exceptions). Nor would their children necessarily become gods themselves. The child of a mortal and a god would be considered a demigod. Demigods were generally not invulnerable or immortal (again, there were exceptions) like their immortal parent, though they were stronger, more courageous, more capable of superhuman feats than your typical mortal was. Think: Achilles, Perseus, Theseus, Aeneas, etc. Like I said, though, there were exceptions. There were some mortals that were apotheosed, or deified, because of their contributions to mankind, through marriage, and sometimes, just because the gods wanted to.

Yes! See the list of demigods at link below!

This is a list of those deemed demigods. See Demigod for elaboration. As the term is Greek it will mostly focus on that, but similar concepts exist in other mythologies so will be mentioned.

Yes Achilles was a demigod.
Achilles was the son of the mortal Peleus, king of the Myrmidons, and the immortal sea nymph Thetis in Farsala, Thessaly.
achilles mother is one of the fifty sea nymphs which are the daughters of Nereus, the eldest son of Pontus the sea, and Gaia the earth, both are ancient, pre-Olympian sea-gods.
And thats why achilles is a demigod.

The demigod Achilles, was the central character and greatest warrior of Homer's Iliad,

The term "demigod", meaning "half-god," is a modern distinction, often misapplied in Greek mythology. "Demigod" is meant to identify a person whose one parent was a god and whose other parent was human.

Achilles was the son of the mortal Peleus, king of the Myrmidons, and the immortal sea nymph Thetis in Farsala, Thessaly.

Yes

Achilles (Achilleus) Greek hero famous for his deeds and death in the Trojan War. He was later deified, and his worship was particularly prominent in the Black Sea area. Son of Peleus, King of the Myrmidons, and the Nereid Thetis. As a child, Thetis dipped him in the River Styx in an attempt to protect him against harm, leaving only the heel by which she held him vulnerable. Achilles was eventually killed by Paris, whose arrow was guided by Apollo to the vulnerable heel.

Yes. whenever a mortal and a god or goddess have children the offspring are demigods. the only example of a demigod being pure mortal is that of Kastor. he was made a demigod by the goddess Athena for his obedience.
