THE MAN IN THE MIRROR

To quote an old Mac Davis song, “It’s hard to be HUMBLE when you’re perfect in every way.” In my case, I’d say Mac had it just about right. I pretty much agree with the next line of the song too, “I can't wait to look in the mirror cause I get better lookin' each day.”

I’ve noticed the older I get, the more I am inclined to STUMBLE on the way to the mirror. One of these days, my hips will probably CRUMBLE and then I’ll need replacements. Thank goodness for modern medicine to keep us old guys in good repair. I’ll just think of myself as “The Bionic Man.”

Still, I always say, “It’s better to look good than to be good.” I’ve had hair replacement at the Hair Club for Men because I didn’t want to FUMBLE around with a toupee. I’m about due for another visit to Dr. 90210 for a little liposuction around the mid section. I certainly wouldn’t want to be known as “The Muffin Man.”

I’d like to sit down and watch a little TV, catch up with what’s going on in the world, but unfortunately, those news anchors just MUMBLE. Could it be that I need a hearing aid?

I’ll be glad when the elections are over. Then we won’t have to put up with all the campaign news. I think all those politicians are CORRUPT anyway.

Luckily, I still have 20/20 vision. The better to admire myself in the mirror, you know!!!

The boy was about to crumble, as he tried so hard not to fumble the ball. The mumble of the crowd was so corrupt it made him stumble, but he still made the touchdown. As he did his victory dance it sure made the other team humble.
