Years ago I used the old beer tabs that pulled off, put them together to make a chain and put them around the Christmas tree. Those were the good ole days when we were too broke to pay attention. Thanks for the memories :)

Thumbs up...my Sister had a party one year and everyone decorated the tree with beer cans. Did I mention she was still in High school and my Parents were away?

I thought it was hysterical ----my sister failed to check the back of the tree that the whole neighborhood could see through the window:)
My Parents found out about the nice gathering when they lit the tree and went outside to admire all of their hard work.

Yeah, they're a pretty nice accent for the tree. I also love to attach lit ciggies to my tree as a replacement for traditional Christmas lights. Yes, they can pose as a fire hazard, but what would our Christmas be without the tree going up in flames every year? It's like a tradition here.

i might say, have Christmas on the residences of the mothers and fathers with the little pests for some years. My aunt used to place the tree IN a playpen so her little infants could no longer get to the tree. That became extreme. you may connect the tree to the wall with fishing line so it won't fall over, in case you incredibly are frightened approximately that. Or, you may desire to positioned non-breakable adorns on the backside interior their attain, or possibly have some adorns for them to positioned on the tree as quickly as they get there. and then furnish them the strict message, whilst we positioned those on the tree, we at the instant are not likely to the touch it returned. it is your abode and finally you may desire to enforce your rules. ensure you have different events planned for the little infants - like adorning their own cookies, or some video games, coloring, etc., so as which you will re-direct their pastime removed from the tree.

No, we drank bottled beer. They are a lot heavier to hang on your tree!! But my husband does collect bottle caps and use those for decorations :)

Nope...but I make beer can hats for people as a joke and then pretend to be all hurt when they don't wear them. That way, they feel guilty and wear them in public (just once) and are humiliated.

Great fun!
