did being politically correct begin during the "bill cosby tv series" era? i hate it and think it is wrong on many levels. how do we do away with it permanently?

You don't do away with "poiticalcorrectness." every society has norms and mores that define what is acceptable within that society. Those norms and mores will be present in any society.
The big gripe about "political correctness" isn't about that--it is simply the whining of those on the right who are discovering their bigotry and racism is no longer welcome in America. The American people have grown up enough to reject that kind of disgusting crap--and those who are still crude and ignorant enough to retain such attitudes are jst going to have to get over it.

It’s sad when teachers promote anti-capitalism and pro-liberalism views on their students. Not surprising that 99 cents out of every dollar donated to Congress is given to the Democrat party. So many students trust teachers as being honest, but instead are promoting their political agenda on young gullible students
