Go to your tray, start run, type in: c://program files and click on "ok", your hidden files will open. I advise you not to mess with them, as they are hidden for a reason. You don't want to have to reinstall your platform. (Leave them alone).

Minddoc is right but he's a bit technical, ain't he?

I can't imagine why a person would even WANT to view the hidden files, they, as the Doc said, are "hidden" for a reason, that being that they should not be messed with. If you change, delete, rename, or otherwise muck around with them, the OS (Operating System) will be screwed up and you won't be able to run programs).

If you still insist on doing the viewing stuff, follow the other good advice you've been given.

For getting music off your iPod, get yourself iTunes.

For viewing hidden files, open a folder and go into Tools, then select Folder Options and click on the View tab. You should see a list of options, look for the option called Hidden Files and Folders. When you have found that select the option says Show Hidden Files and Folders. Then click Apply and OK.

open an explorer, tools, folder options, scroll down, and you will see show hidden files and folders, then click ok. if that does not help, then you have a malware or virus that is preventing you to do just that. my take on this is to backup files, reformat and reinstall windows. i know it is drastic, but most of the time when dealing with viruses, this is the best solution that has less of a trial and error
