The best business names provide a clue as to what the business is about. My business name, for instance, is P.O.P. Exhibits Inc., which stands for point-of-purchase displays and exhibits. P.O.P. doesn't mean anything except POP (as in Pepsi) to most, but does mean a lot for those looking for displays. My daughter, by the way, is a freshman so I can relate to the project. If interested, you can find examples of both good and bad names at http://www.popandexhibits.com. Does the business name as displayed on a trade show booth convey any notion as to what the business is about? For a project, just select a category like "doll clothing". Doll clothing is actually a good name. Then, go to www.itsyourdomain.com and search to see if www.doll-clothing.com is available........ and so on. You can then create a virtual business by Googling "doll clothing" images, doing a copy past into your project and, presto..... you have a business!
