Professor Quirell Marqueraded as a hooded figure at the Hogs Head....He got Hagrid drunk and played cards with him...once he had let Hagrid win, he gave him norbert (or as we find out in the 7th book, Norbeta) and upon giving it to him asks him if he can handle such a vicious beast.....Hagrid then tells him about fluffy and how to get past him....leaving quirell with the information about how to get to the sorcerers stone!!!
