My dad is white and my mom is black. I found out that my dad is in the KKK and hates black people. I have a bad feeling when he comes around us. what should I do???

I'm bewildered how a klansman wound up having a sexual relationship with your mother in the first place. But if he comes around every so often (and not in a menacing or threatening way) he's obviously not so much of a klansman that he's lost all sense of reason. The Klan is a contemptible organization, but I have known of klansmen that regretted their indoctrination into that life and wound up in it largely due to peer pressure and factors such as these. As is true of everyone, we are all capable of more than one dimension. I suspect it's true of your father as well. Because he can hate black people all he wants to, it's very difficult (if not impossible) to hate your own child. Something tells me there's more to your father than meets the eye. And in view of the fact that that's an anomaly of epic proportions (i.e. a klansman with a black woman), maybe it's worth giving him a chance, at least once.Somethings supercede our ideologies; parenthood is one of those things.
