The four teams as Padres, Giants, Cubs, and White Sox have interest in him.

This is second time since the Red Sox won the rights to signed Dice-K, the World Classic Baseball MVP last year.

I think that Cubs will signing him.

What about you?

On the winter meetings blog of ESPN.com one of the major analysts - I want to say Peter Stark - said that Fukudome was headed to the Cubs, and soon. These things do change but that was only a couple of days ago and I haven't heard anything to contradict it since.

Let's clarify something --- there are two Japanese players whose names start with the letters F-u-k-u. There is Fukudome and Fukumori. The former is a left-handed power hitting outfielder. The latter is a pitcher. People seem to be confusing this all the time.

If you're talking about Fukudome, there is a good chance he's headed for Chi-Town --- either the Cubs or the White Sox --- both have a very strong interest in him.

If on the other you are referring to Fukumori, you can probably expect to see him in a Mariners uniform --- in the bullpen, not a starter --- even though the Padres, D-Backs and Nationals have all expressed an interest.

And what, the Cubs don't need him? Their biggest need this offseason is a left-handed hitting outfielder with some power and who can draw walks too. That and the fact the Cubs are going on year 100 without winning the World Series, I'd say their need for him outweighs the Giants'. Besides, the Giants deserve to suck for a few more years. That's what they get for sticking with and promoting the biggest cheater in the history of sports for so many years! The Giants last won the World Series in 1954. They don't deserve to win again until at least 2054!

Giants - They have a blood thiristy want for a outfielder, as they atemptted to trade for Matsui.

The Cubs, on the other hand, have a nice outfield with Alfanso Soriano.

He is a Hideki Matsui type player and I believe the Cubs have the inside track to sign him followed by the Mariners.
