Gosh, God's been so good to me that I don't even know what I would say is "best." Some of the best things include:
My health is better this year than it has been in awhile. For years, I lived with chronic respiratory problems and had one case of bronchitis after another, all congested up and coughing like mad, practically hacking a lung up, and it was like that all winter. I haven't had one case of bronchitis yet this winter and I only had one case last winter instead of having it come back every 2 weeks like it used to.
I'm blessed in seeing my Mom recuperate from the devastating loss of my Dad and it's a joy to see her begin to enjoy life again even though we all still miss Dad. I'm blessed every time I see her walk because her knee replacement surgery last year has given her a new mobility and energy that she hadn't had in years.
I'm blessed with many good friends and happy memories.
I have a fabulous little dog that brightens my every day... even if she does have the world's smallest bladder and wakes me 2 or 3 times per night to want out. (Personally, I think she just likes to go patrol the yard to make sure no pesky cats are intruding in "her" space because, during the day, she has no trouble holding it for hours.)

Thanks for the heartwarming question, I would have to say my boys, one of them has passed but will always be around his family forever, and the other manages to run me ragged all year round, with no breaks, lol. great question and Merry Christmas :0)

I make the most of what I have and do not dwell on what I might want.
