It doesn't bother me much...particularly when they come to learn and to share.

Thanks Winnie, I concur completely.
I am a senior and I welcome the youth in nearly any forum. We may not have a massive educational accomplishments but most seniors have been around a bit. I am retired military, a gunsmith, shade tree auto mechanic, aircraft engine mechanic, handyman (professional), I've done R&D in electronics, I was a weapons expert on the A-10 aircraft, I am an accomplished wood worker, a motorcyclist and the list goes on and on. I know a lot about a few thing and a little about a lot of things and I am one opinionated old man. All of that is available to the youth I encounter. Many don't agree with some of my positions but I know enough to understand that people change as they age so I try to be nice.
I hope the younger ones do come here to this rather deep well of knowledge and experience. We can be a weath of information and all you need do is ask.
Merry Christmas...

I think that Big Hairy Monster summed it up quite nicely. This is a great group of people here and they have all made me feel very welcome. BTW..... I'm not sure if I fall into the "youngens" category. I may be young to some, but old to others.

I think they come here for a little sanity, wisdom and fun.
So many of the other forums are filled with nastiness, profanity, stupidity, unreadable questions - and answers.
I think we are sort of an oasis or a little peace and quiet on Y/A. Not that we don't get our hackles up once in a while....but we sure are a LOT nicer on here than on others.
Anybody looked at "Law & Ethics" or "Politics & Government" or even "Religion & Spirituality" lately? Good grief. Where do some of these folks live---Jupiter? Hateful, nasty, bigoted...sheesh.
Not everybody, of course, but you have to scroll so much to find anything worth reading or responding to.
I like it here. Sometimes we're grouchy but mostly we just sort of chat...and are really interested in what others have to say.

Those youngens know that youth and talent will never out wit age and treachery. They’re here to learn the trade.

I think it's nice as long as they are polite. If they see a question that strikes a chord with them, they should feel at ease to answer it , no matter what section it was posted in.
Plus truly so many youth do not like seniors sometimes, so the ones that do, are welcome in my book!
I love this section and I am not a true senior myself, I'm 49, I would hope this section would not close to my presence, I think of everyone in here, as my friends.

Unless they tell me they are in their teens 20's or 30' or whatever I have no idea unless they say something. I don't care who is here they keep me young at heart. I appreciate everyone's insight. It makes me think about when I was young and thought the same way, sometimes a little immature but that's OK they can learn from us and we from them.

It doesn't bother me in the least bit that they come here. They are just wanting to learn something from the Seniors. We all learn something on here all the time.
You make me feel that I am not even welcome here, I am just 51. So there for I am not a Senior yet.
Wickwire, here is something for you, {{HUG}}. I feel the same way you do now.

if that's the case, then I have no business here either since I'm not a "senior". I am a "boomer" although I barely made it into that category too
ALL are welcome here as long as they are polite - we turn no one away -- when the smart alecks come, we just ignore them
they come here to learn - as do I - and it is our obligation to teach them - how else are they going to learn?!

I think most come because they are truly interested in what we have to say. A few come to give us a bad time. I don't mind any of them. The few dumb kids that just want to give the old folks a bad time will go away if we ignore them.
