you'll probably have to do like comm. service or like some hours.
or like a few weeks in jail.
but i don't think like drastically going to jail, unless a DUI.
good luck and best wishes! =]

Yes I have, And No, not if it's your first. Although don't piss the Judge off, because he can do pretty much anything he wants. If it your second, I've seen them give 1 weekend and up.,But even than just a fine with a suspended sentence, probation. If you can do the time, I recommend working it out to where you don't have probation. Probation is 6 month's to a year and a big hassle. That's all if you plea bargain. You can just appear in front of the Judge alone (w/o an Attorney) if so " Your Honor I appear here before you guilty and very sorry for my action's and ask the court for it's lenience.). This must be said from the heart as most Judge's have a lot of wisdom and can see right through a Bullshitter.
All in All it's not really a big deal but the court (Judge, prosecutor, probation, etc.) want to see someone whom they believe has learned his lesson.I hope this helps.Trust me I'm from Hamilton county In Indiana and you might do 30 day's for such a minor offense. Here they try to prove the community safe and are very strict on Law enforcement. A lot depend's on where you got this ticket.
Good Luck!

No, but I'm an attorney who has worked at the jail, and I've never seen anyone in there for such a minor reason. Most jails are overcrowded, and they are likely to give alternate sentences for things like that. They need the space for all the murderers, arsonists, drug dealers, and burglars.

I haven't been in that situation but they don't send you to jail/prison for that. they may throw you in the tank overnight until you sober up, but your court date is just for a fine. at most they MAY give you community service but I doubt it. However, if you did anything else illegal while you were being drunk and disorderly, you may have to deal with that.

Apply by all means. Be 100% honest (they WILL check). Chances - slim to none. The Canadians prefer British drunken yobs to stay in Britain they already have enough of their own. Incidentally, you don't get fined £300 just for being "cheeky" to a Police Officer, even on a 6th offence. There is more to that story.

Well here in Canada you'd probably have been taken to jail to sleep it off and then be released in the morning. And that would be that.
I only know this because guys on my hubby's crew have a habit of doing this when they go work out of town and he's the one who gets the call to come pick them up.

Its basically a ticket, like a raffic ticket, you have to g to court so you can plead guilty or not (this is america, free trials for all). It is basically just a fine, or some community service. You will not go to prison or even have to serve time. Hope that helps.

I doubt you will go to jail. Probably a fine and some community service....unless you did some serious damage while drunk.
