In real life, the n word is destructive and sure to insult and enrage most black men and women. In the world of entertainment, it seems the n word is accepted currency only in the hands of black men and some black women who use it within the context of a musical performance or comedy act.
Personally, I don't see the need to use the n word. I will concede that even if it is an extremely tasteless noun it is not unlawful to use the n word. It is only your own sense of decency that will inform your choice to use the n word or not.

I hate the word, don't use the word and won't tolerate the word used towards me. I'd also like to point out not every black person address themselves as the N word...please don't ask ''why is it acceptable for us to use the word but not other races'' because not all black people use the word...so ask the dummies that do!

what about the C word or the R or the H or the Ch word and let us not for get the Sp word. they all have the same right to not be used so why just fill the need for just that one, oh that special needs group that the rest is for gotten for I'm sorry, please!!!!!

Just like any other derogatory word. Shouldn't be used and those that do, don't have decent command of the English language without resorting to the gutter to express themselves.

you know what frustrates me above all else is that black people use dicriminatory words against white people all the time.. they call us crackers .. honky and wutever other stupid name they can think of .. but as soon as we say ni**er ; **** hits the fan!! its so annoying .. people need to grow up!! you want respect you have to earn it .. people get so easily offended by a word that means nothing
