have intel core 2 E6420 2.13Gherts,,,2 GB Ballistix Tracer 240-pin PC-6400, Asus p5w dh Mobo ,%00 GB seagate HDD , 2 DVD/Rw lite on all sata || drivers ...and also i got 2 videos cards Nvidia and ATI ...one 8800GT and one 3870 HD poeple saying that ATi cards more into HD videos and multimdeia ...is that ture ..? co s i am going to use my pc for wacting videos and that ..
also i am going play lots of games so which OS system shoud i get ?

For games, a Microsoft OS is the only way to go. Vista or XP is up to you, XP will probably be cheaper though and is less of a system resource hog, so I would go with XP at least until SP1 for Vista comes out.

GET LINUX. Linux is more secure, free of charge, and much more. With linux you can run widows programs by using a program called WINE, wine pretty much installs windows into linux, therefore wine is not an emulator. And linux offers free mmo games and more. With linux you can play windows games, linux games, and with the right software you can play mac games.

Windows XP is good if your playing games for windows
Otherwise i suggest trying a linux flavor like Ubuntu.
