Most people will pick their favorite team. I won't. I'm sorry, but I think it's the cold, hard truth that the Red Sox are still the team to beat and the most likely to win it all in 2008. I honestly think we're looking at a Dynasty similar to the one that the Yankees had in the late 90s. Same rock solid confidence, same home field advantage, same core group of young, charismatic players and playoff over achievers. Like those Yankees it's not just the big free agents - it's guys like Jonathan Papelbon, Hideki Okajima, Jacoby Ellsbury and Dustin Pedroia who really make the difference. And if they get Johan Santana? Good night! I hate it, not because I have anything in particular against Boston but just because it makes things way too predictable. But I think it'll happen.

Funny thing about the World Series; each team has to play 162 games first to get there. Once in the play-offs anything can happen.

I doubt the red sox will win again. They would have to get past the motor city kitty kats. I ddnt see that happening.

MARLINS..haha, well no not the marlins.. detroit and boston are def solid picks, but to those detroit fans who loved taking my dearly beloved cabrera.. i hate u.. and to those thinking dtrain is a phenom, willis is year by year inconsistent, look it up.. cabrera is the real deal, he has a ring, he has the confidence, the power, the arm, the batting avg, the detroit lineup is one to remember this year.. it comes down to detroit and boston, and as for the NL, the mets should be able to def win 90 games this year, especially with a season-long healthy pedro.. the team can flat out play ball with that lineup, given delgado doesnt put up a 162 game slump again.

My best guess is, at the point, the Boston Red Sox. They'll beat the New York Mets in 5 games.

wat a dumb question, nobody knows. look at the white sox in 06 and the cardinals last season. the red sox are obviously the fav, to win, but there's always going to be a team to surprise you. 2007; Brewers. Next year? who knows. My Yankees are obviously now in the underdog role, but i love it and hope a championship is in the near future.

Watch out for Cleveland. Detroit is not a team to pick-Cleveland had 5 players have god waful years and still won 96 games. Mariners? They had a shot last year-but September proved to be a costly month for them. They need to unload Sexson somehow and get a real 1st baseman-also a few more arms wouldn't hurt-because they need to TRY to match the pitching of LAA if thay have any shot of being competitive.

They need to get Sexson to get back to form (it's a contract year so it could happen) and adding pitching is a must, Hiroki Kuroda would be a great addition to Hernadez and Washburn.
