i wish people would ask 'aliens somewhere in the Universe' rather than just 'aliens'.
are there 'aliens'? Don't know, nobody does.
are there 'aliens on Earth'? No, that's silly.

Are there other intelligent beings somewhere in the Universe?
More than likely.
Look at it this way, our sun is just an average star, in the outer fringes of only one of many galaxies. And life developed here. There are countless other stars in the known Universe that are about the same as our sun. Surely we are not the only planet to have ever formed intelligent life in all of the Galaxy.
Have I ever met one? No.
Has any ever visited Earth? Who knows, maybe. There are drawings in ancient Mayan ruins that indicate human shaped beings weraing what appears to be spacesuits, and are also accociated with arriving from the sky. Perhaps they were the basis for many cultures around the Earth suddenly developing similar mathematics, science, astronomy, and building techniques in an age where it is not known that they were in communication with one another.
What would happen if they did? Depends on their motives. If they are more advanced than us and they are needing resources that the Earth has then we might find ourselves quickly Extinct. Not everyone believes that aliens are automatically going to be benevolent creatures that are here to help us. Then again, they may find that it would be an advantage to ally themselves with us in a trading arrangement.

I think it's highly probable that there is life elswhere in the universe, but there is no hard evidence of it.
As to whether aliens have visited Earth, why would they? Earth is an insignificant dust speck orbiting an unremarkable star just like billions of other stars in the galaxy.
And if there are intelligent beings out there and they were exploring the universe I doubt they'd actually go in person. I mean look at how we're doing it. We're exploring the universe, but we're not sending people to do it. We're using space probes. I think it would be far more likely that we would encounter an alien probe than the aliens themselves.

The universe is quite large. It really is easy for life to start on a planet, it just takes a very long time. The universe has been around for a very very very very long time. It's unlikely that this is the only populated planet. It's extremely unlikely that this is the most technologically advanced planet. You'll have to research this, but to sea a ufo just look at the moon. Aliens; I have never seen one, unless they really can change their appearance and are walking among us; as many authors are claiming.
The question you should be asking is: if we're so intelligent, why are we still slaughtering each other over oil? Or, why are we still going to war with each other over very dubious and as yet to be proven 'terrorist' attacks?
Years of research have gone into my answer, you cannot simply discard it because of something that the mass media have told you.

Statistically speaking, if nothing else, the universe is so vast, so many hundreds of millions of galaxies, it's practically impossible for there NOT TO BE aliens out there.
No, I haven't seen one and I doubt if anyone else has, simply because of the unbelievably long distance they would have to travel.
Lastly, there is no evidence that they have.

There is almost certainly other life in the universe. There is no evidence that it has ever visited Earth. We have spaceships, so I'd expect other life forms would too.

There's so many galaxies and planets in our visible Universe that the chances of another life somewhere else are high.

I do, yes.
Have never seen one, and do not ever expect to - but I'm pretty certain they exist.
