I had one when I was little. We found him in the garden, he was a cute little bugger, but wasn't any good for cuddling.

I would have to research how to take care of them before I could answer the question.
Oh, and how much they cost. And whether veterinarians in my area are familiar with their care.
NOTE ON SUGAR GLIDERS: I found out on my research on them that you must have TWO sugar gliders in order to be successful. These cuties are born in twos and they live in at least twos throughout their lives.
They are a very odd animal. I don't know of any other (including other marsupials) that have two uteri in the females and two peni in the males. Not kidding. There should be a DNA study of them to make sure they belong on this planet.

No, even though there seems to be alot of people who actually have them as pets. I never knew that until I asked a question on here about them after nearly falling on the first one I've ever seen.
