Is there some place better.

We have great weather. We have Fires.

We have the Beach's and the Mountains. We have Flood and mud sides.

I live within walking distant of Disney Land. I still drive their when I go. (nobody walks in the O.C.)

So where is the best place on Earth? And Why if you have the time?

I'm DEAD

I was always good while I was alive.

I'm now in Orange County. :)

Never a dull moment around here. In the fall, the Santa Ana Winds start, which dry out the brush. Nearing winter, the fires start in the dry brush and they burn off all the vegitation on the sides of the hills. In the late winter/spring, we have our rainy season which causes the hills to give way since the vegitation that holds them in place is all dead, and the houses slide off their foundations and down the hill. Then summer comes, that's earthquake season. If you didn't loose your house during the mud slides, the quakes might do it for you!

I'm pretty sure everywhere else in the world is a snooze by comparison.

I live in Orange County and San Diego (native san diegan but in irvine for school), and i've always preferred san diego. There's a lot more to do, and i love the small town that i live in. Honestly, though, they are basically the same thing - several rich towns surrounded by a few poor/dirty/locally-infamous towns, beaches, shopping, etc. Orange County is definitely a lot more yuppie, but i think that's mostly because of the stigma attached to towns like Laguna and Newport Beach. My heart will always lie in San Diego, though Orange County is pretty practical since it sits almost directly between LA and SD. Since you're single, though, San Diego just has a lot more going on (downtown has tons of clubs and bars, petco park, shopping is great, etc.). Overall i have mixed feelings about this question but i'm going to vote for San Diego!

That's nice but, the Northern California valley is much better. We have cleaner air, nice weather, fewer fires, no quakes for the most part, Tahoe, Reno, Yosemite, Reno, San Francisco, the Redwoods, Napa Valley, skiing, the coast and the mountains with short commutes and we typically make good time on our commutes, unlike there.

I lived both places and this is best.....

You are right.
This is the best.
I can stand at the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Jamboree Road and see the Pacific Ocean behind me and the beautiful Newport Back Bay in front of me and the wonderful snow-covered San Gabriel Mountains less than a hundred miles to the north.
Disney and Knotts, the Angels, average 73 degree year round climate and the prettiest girls in the whole wide world.
And it's all right here in sunny southern California ! ! !

Detroit is the best place on Earth. Often times people in Detroit will ask themselves, "Is this Heaven?"

No, it's Detroit.
