I was told to go to a website http://www.torrentpassword.net to get a passcode for a compiler? I dont really know how this works but it asked me to sign up to an offer and then it will direct me to my passcode....this didnt happen ..what went wrong or what should I do ???

You are trying to use the software without paying for it.

It's possible that the owners of the complier are using the 'sign up' as a 'trap' to collect details of people trying to pirate their software .. it's also possible that the 'special offer' simply downloads a trojan / backdoor / root kit / keylogger / virus onto your PC so it can be hijacked by criminals and Identity Thieves .. (if you deal with criminals, sooner or later you will become a victim of crime)

In short, if you MUST pirate software DON'T enter your details anywhere and NEVER download (or install) ANYTHING from a 'password hacking' (ie criminal) source .. ONLY download pirate 'passcodes' etc. that are plain text files (which you should ONLY 'open with' Notepad). Even compressed (eg ZIPPED) files should be regarded with some caution (look up 'decompression bomb')
