I think it means it doe not matter if you are a man or woman you can still vote?

It means that every adult, male and female, in the United States has the right to vote.
Congress has the right to enforce this right if anyone is denied the right to vote illegally by enacting laws to make it so.

I believe this means you can not be denied the right to vote based on your gender.

This is a federal law that congress has the right to protect the people with.

it says that citizens of the us cant be denied the right to vote because they are either male or female....it says they cant change their voting rights on account of their gender, and it says that congress is the one who makes the laws regarding this

It means that women can vote. There was a time in the not too distant past that women did not have the right to vote in the US.


This ended that problem.

It basically says both men and women can vote. This is called "suffrage".
