Absolutely. Defend it to the very end. That is what our ancestors believed and that is why we have the freedoms that we have today.

If you are not willing to fight for your freedom, you will have none.
Only the ability to fight allows the security not to. That is a common theme of the founding fathers of the USA. And it is still true.

It is so easy to mouth off about how one would or should fight for one's freedom on Y/A Politics.
It is another matter altogether to sign a Declaration of Independence that specifically lists your grievances and pledges your life, fortune and honor to the fight for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
The fight for freedom is not assisted by the suspension of freedom.
Our Constitutional rights have been curtailed under the guise of defense of our freedoms.
The enemies of our freedom are those who would convince us that we must give up our freedoms to protect them.
They must be purged like a bad case of dysentery from our system. They are International Corporate Fascists who rule through economic terror and tyranny. They are no more interested in individual freedom than that image of a tall, skinny, bearded man holed up in some cave.
They are the modern day version of the British West Indies Corp.
It is time for a new Boston Tea Party. It is time for an updated version of the Declaration Of Independence.
It is time to restore the Constitution.
It will be harder than it was for Shrub and his International Corporate Fascist masters to wipe their posteriors and flush the Constitution down the toilet.
It will be harder than claiming that you are willing to fight for your freedom on Y/A Politics.

While many in America seem to think we should not, I believe fighting for our freedom is as important as fighting for our lives.
I remember asking a dentist once, "do I really need to floss?" The dentist replied "You only need to floss the teeth you want to keep!"
So I guess you only need to fight for the freedoms and rights you wish to keep.

Yes. But it depends on the context you are talking about. Our boys and girls fighting in Iraq are not there fighting for our freedom. They are there because GW Bush wanted to get Saddam because "he tried to kill my daddy" Sound like a freedom issue to you? It sure doesn't to me....

Yes, but only when absolutely necessary. We should not start a fight. We should not be quick to anger and strike out and should not strike first. At least that's what my mama always taught me.
