August 20, 2005 I hadn't lived in Wisconsin long, and a group of us were taking the bus into Milwaukee for Irish Fest. Milwaukee is big on festivals for everything imaginable. Hubby had known my best friend 20+ years ago and they had reconnected by phone not too long before this bus trip. He agreed to meet the group of us at Irish Fest. Long story short, we got married 12/22/05.

1959 - I was 18-he was 21..we were both in the Marine Corps stationed at Parris Island. It was November 10, the Marine Corp birthday and there was a huge ball on base....30 piece orchestra, lots of food and fluffery...everyone dressed in Dress Blues..lovely evening. He asked me to dance. Was the most beautiful man in his Blues.....WOW! I was starry eyed.

He is the father of my two wonderful kids...and, even though the marriage didn't last (wayyyyy too young), we remain friends.....we stuck it out for 11 years.

He worked at a Ford car lot as a mechanic. I was working next door at a hamburger joint. It was in 1978, he was 36 and I was 22. We stayed together for 17 years until I caught him cheating on me and then I divorced him. Never have been married since. Have had a few "boyfriends" along the way, but they all wanted to be cheaters as well.

My spouse and I were both 44 when we met; both divorced. I saw him at the mall, and kind of chased him until we met face to face and I asked what time it was and we ended up talking all afternoon. We've been married 11 years. He is perfect. I adore him. Thank you, Lord!!!

1961 - met him in the campus carry out eatery near my university. He had just come back from an Air Force tour in Japan and was just 'hanging out' on campus. Was already 'promised' to another [and in hindsight should have married HIM]...LOL
He was 24; I was 19. We met in the spring, married in late summer of '61...and the union, such as it was, lasted until '66
