Bush lied to Congress, hoodwinked the American people and conned America's valiant soldiers into believing there was honorable purpose in attacking a sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States.
Bush was selected to be President in order to satisfy the Bush family's personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein dating back to Desert Storm when George H.W. Bush was ridiculed, criticzed and humiliated for not 'finishing the job' and ousting Hussein at that time.
Cheney coveted all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands. Now, Bush's #1 non-military 'benchmark' is trying to force the Iraqi Parliament into surrendering two-thirds of Iraq's oil fields to foreign oil corporations. This is virtually a license to STEAL Iraq's most valuable economic resource, assuring huge profitability for the likes of Exxon-Mobil at the expense of Iraq's economy.
The huge U.S. military-industrial complex needed a new 'war' to boost sagging profits from too many years of peace. And, there were two new government contractors bellying up to the war trough: the Carlyle Group and Halliburton, BOTH of whom have direct ties to the Bush-Cheney White House. Does anybody in his right mind really believe this is all just 'coincidence'???
Liberals aren't angry that Bush is 'running the tables' on them; liberals are angry at Bush for the same reason many conservatives are angry at Bush. He has involved us in an unconstituional, illegal, unjustified, immoral 'war' that will put American taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt for generations to come. He has ruined America's reputation as a world leader and global peace keeper. He has set the stage for what could be this country's worst economic depression in history, making 1929 look like a church picnic. He has ignored the plight of those in America who are underprivileged, unemployed, disadvantaged, elderly, sick, disabled, under educated, poor, hungry or homeless. He has rejected any responsibility for trying to enhance the delicate ecological balance between all men, plants and animals so necessary for our very survival. He has allowed our nation's infrastructure to continue to erode as have most recent U.S. Presidents. And he has let 675,000 Iraqis and 3,900 U.S. soldiers die so a handful of wealthy elitists, industrialists, oil barons and power brokers could become wealthier and more powerful.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and their war-mongering friends deserve a special oil-soaked, blood-splattered corner of Hell where they can rot for eternity, along with:
* 535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, wicked, incompetent, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress in history that watched as Bush ran rip shod over our Constitution
-AND-
* 535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, wicked, incompetent, cowardly, corrupt Democratic-led Congress in history that promised to end this 'war' if elected, and - to date - have done absolutley nothing to keep that promise. MAY GOD DAMN THEM ALL!!! -RKO- 12/09/07

How has Bush run the table on anyone? If things are so hunkey dorey in Iraq, our people should be on the planes and home by Christmas, right? If not, than there must still be a problem over there and things aren't as good as some seem to think.

Wow!

You really believe these are all good things?

In a sense, yes, Bush grabbed the power so he won the arguments.

Is it better for the country?

By any measure of national performance....not even close.

Lots of leaders have successfully grabbed power only to run their countries into the ground...In fact almost all of the most powerful leaders in world history have ruined their country in thirst for power.

Ever hear of Saddam?
