Ah Morgan, most of my old photos were kept by my X... some I did find in a brown paper bag, they had been taken out of the albums and just thrown in the bag... photos of my Great Grandmother, my Grandmother... all wrinkled in a bag! All photos of me when I was young were lost in a house fire... No, I don't go through the ones I have very often...

I love looking at the pictures a couple of times a year. I wait long enough so each "visit" lets me rediscover the faces of loved ones and the fun events. I live with my mother who has Alzheimer's disease. We brought all the family albums down from the attic and put them in the bookcase, thinking she would enjoy it. She decided they needed to go back upstairs. Seeing all those people who were dead made her too sad. I felt so bad for her. I had hoped she would just remember the happy times with her loved ones.

I go through them regularly and sort them out. Some to keep,
some to give to my kids, some go into scrapbooks and frames
to put in the house. There are lots of photos from both my family and my husband's family.

I have several....plus a large bag of photos yet placed into an album...trying to get them all together for my kids and our family history. Usually I go back and look at all of them about once every few months or so. Brings back such sweet memories! - and each time I discover something new!
4 years ago as a Christmas present, I made my mom three albums...one of my Dad and his family; one of her and her family; and one of me and my family to help her keep focus with our history and memories [she has Alzheimers] but she later asked me to keep them as she was beginning to not recognize folk yet knew they must be important.

Actually, I did that just last month. Sometimes the grandsons ask a question which will necessitate the showing of "proof" from one of the albums....where one thing just leads to another, and there you are two hours later, just closing the last of the books YET AGAIN.
But it has averaged out to a couple of times a year for us here.

My sister and my older brother by a year and six days have tons of them. I have been trying to get my brother to send me some pics of me so I can send them to everyone by forwarding them so everyone will see what I look like. Being the President Emeritus of the Procrastinators Club of America for Life he says he is still looking for some goofy ones to send. I probably won't get any until I am old and gray. But that won't work either cause I am already getting older and my hair is white now?!?-
