let log_6(9) +log_6(4)

use log rule: log(a) + log(b) = log(ab)

log_6(9*4) = log_6(36)

=>log_6(6^2)

use log rule: log(a^b) = b log(a)

=>2 log_6(6) = 2 (log of any number to the base of same number

is 1)

Let log be log to base 6 in the following:-
log 9 + log 4 = log 36 = 2

In base 6:

log 9 + log 4

= log (9x4)

= log 36

= 2, since 36 = 6^2.
