I mean you could never feel anything but happiness, no matter what happens. Like if a family member died, you couldn't be sad, you would have to try not to smile at their funeral because you can't be anything but happy.

hap·pi·ness /ˈhæpinɪs/
–noun
1. the quality or state of being happy.

I didn't say content or accepting all the time, I said happy all the time. Would it help if I said euphoric instead?

No, thatd be horrible.
Emotions are put into place purposefully.
It'd be impossible to express yourself, and it would just cause alot of confusion.

Happiness is contentment and acceptance no matter what arises. So I don't accept the conclusions you draw from such an operation.

Edit: Yes, euphoric is a better word than happy. And no, I wouldn't get that operation.

No because I would become bored with happy and want to be extra happy. Its the contrast of emotions that make them special.

Happiness or euphoria requires a great deal of energy. I think that sort of continual exertion might be fatal. So, I would have to go with "no." :)

No. Life is a melting pot of emotion, to remove pain and suffering would be wrong.

you never know true happiness until you have felt pure hell.

No, coz that is just awful, not to have your full range of emotions, plus, whatever that operation is, would probably make it so I don't feel any pain and then how will know when something is wrong? (to take care of it.)

no, crying, and anger, and all those things are what make us human. of course it would be NICE to be happy all the time, but it wouldnt be pracitcal or true.
