I'm about to graduate from college and get my bachelors. However, I feel like I have no idea what to do with my life. Did you experience anything similar? What did you do in that case?

A very high proportion of people feel that way. I think what frightens most people is this idea that any decision they make are for life. That just isn't the case these days. There have been a number of studies that have suggested that the average person today will go through from six to eight careers - not just jobs, but careers! - during their lifetimes. I often tell my students that the perfect job for them may not have been invented yet - the world moves so quickly, that we have no idea what might be coming down the pike a few years from now. So the thing to do is not to let this endless stretch of future paralyze you. Find something which will challenge you - for now. Make sure you keep learning new skills - the more you know, the more flexible you will be.

Yes...I was crossing the stage on graduation day when I realized I didn't want to be a teacher, despite the fact that I was receiving my BA in Education. I decided to go for my MLS (Masters in Library Science), because I was good at finding information. I've since graduated with my MLS, but now can't seem to find work in the field, so best answer I can give you is do what you love.

I definitly did graduating was a real anti climax. You should take some time out. You dont have to go straight from college to a career for the rest of your life sort of job. Just get a regular job so you have money and maybe travel or just have fun for awhile.

Yup, I went to grad school. Now I'm about to get my PhD and still don't know what to do with my life. I wish I had spoken with a career counselor. Perhaps you should try that. Biggest mistake in my life was NOT speaking to one.
