Considering its my name, I'm rather fond of it. I've found that its a name that can't really be made fun of (except for my older brother and my father call me 'Anna Banana') and its timeless. It works well for a child and is a name that helps an adult be taken seriously.

It's very plain and traditional, like Jane. It still has a sweet touch to it though. If you're are going for a more classic, innocent, girly name, Anna is a good choice. I think it sounds good as a first name, and you could call her Ann for short, but Ann as a name is better for a middle name. Hope this helps!

I love the name Anna! It's great for a first name or middle name. It's a sophisticated and traditional name. Anna is a classic - it'll never go out of syle.

I love it! Anna's totally classic, simple, sweet, and just beautiful. It's kind of like the name Rose for me - it's really underrated as a first name. And, like Rose's many variations (Rosamund, Rosalie, Rosette, etc), I love all the variations on Anna - Anneliese, Annette, Annabel, Anneka, Annalee, etc. You could always use Anna as a nickname for one of them, but Anna on its own is still a gorgeous name.
Good luck!

I think it's a good name, It's a little common, though. It might have special meaning, but I'm not sure what it means.
