I took number of tests to detect pregnancy but all were negative. Internal check ups were also the same. So also the Ultrasounds.I did not get periods for 3 months but severe pain continued in my lower abdomen and I experienced severe pain while going to urinate or passing my stools. After going through several checkups, one doctor after the doppler confirmed that there were clots in the uterus and there could be a missed abortion and I underwent D& C. How could there be a missed abortion when there was no bleeding at all. The clots were later sent to the lab and the report showed that there were no traces of pregnancy. Those three months were a great torture for me.

Now again after two years, I have missed my period after getting the normal symptoms. Will it happen again. Why does this thing happen.

Ask your doctor about the possibility of a hormone imbalance as the cause for the periods being irregular. Some hormone imbalances such as with the thyroid can mess with the period making them very irregular.
