The heads up is for one to be aware of . I don't know what the other means, but it reminded me what they say in German,"Come here girl, with your underwear in you hands." I feel embarrassed to write that down.

Now i've never heard those two together, but it's FUNNY.

give us a head's up= let us know what is going on before it happens

bring a change of underpants=because they are going to poo themselves over it. (scare the crap outta someone).

or they could be playing on the **** will hit the fan. all hell will break loose. bad things gonna happen.

hope it helps.

'Heads up' is a warning (perhaps in a military context?) and 'a change of underpants' symbolizes that one is so scared that he might sh*t himself.
