The books say between 12-16 weeks, with my daughter I began feeling movement at about 13 weeks. With this pregnancy, I feel like I can feel movement at 11 weeks. Not kicks mind you, but little 'flutters' of movement. Is this possible or am I just crazy? I hope it's not the latter, but you never know with hormonal pregnant women ; ) Thanks!

The one person that ask what book I am reading, I am reading lots, including one written by my OB and his nurses at the hospital. If I felt my first one at 13 weeks, why wouldn't I feel a second until 18 weeks? Sorry, just needed to clear that up, I don't like rude answers and answers when people don't read the entire question. I am sure it was quickening at 13 weeks with my first, but this one is 2 weeks earlier and I was curious, not looking for a rude reply!

Its awful that people are rude when replying to such a normal question...I was told that the second pregnancy you will feel movement sooner...there is nothing to worry about, and it does feel like flutters not kicks, your body already produced a human being, and your mind remembers the symptoms and although you may not have recognized them in your first pregnancy the movements were still there, you just didn't know what they were until you really felt your first baby move...isn't it wonderful when that first real movement occurs...you are creating another human being...good luck and don't worry about your hormones, that is a natural process as well, let the tears flow when you are moved or mad, or whatever, its a great stress release..Have a happy birth and long life to you and yours....

It's definitely possible. With my first, I felt fetal movement at 12 weeks and with my second at 11 weeks. My OB/GYN confirmed that my suspicions were definitely quickening. :) Congrats!!

Because women are more experienced the second time around, it is completely normal to feel the baby earlier in a second pregnancy, because you know what to feel for.

yes it is possible to feel little flutters or i used to describe it as tickles, like someone was tickling me in my tummy - i felt all of mine around 11 weeks.
