I say soda. I have never said pop...
But then I don't drink soda so I don't say it much...

I say pop, but if I'm talking online and wonder if some people don't know what pop means (like a girl I knew in high school who was from California) then I will say soda. That way no one reads my q & a going "Huh? What's pop?"

Now that I have lived in the South for over 4 years I say Soda or Coke. Now POP sounds funny to me even though I said it for years as a Midwesterner.

I say coke. Even though it is a sprite or Pepsi, I usually just call it a coke. Once in a while, soda. I never say pop. Because pop sounds more like a kind of music.
