I agree with Awinagainov. There are Leaf fans everywhere, esp. at HSBC which is really annoying.
I'm not trying to be a homer, but there are a lot of Sabre fans in almost every arena south of Buffalo. On the western road trip, there was a good amount of Sabre fans(I even heard some lets go Buff-a-lo chants in SJ). Tampa Bay, Columbus, and Washington, the support is 50-50, and there are a good amount of Sabre fans in Florida, Carolina, Atlanta, Nashville, and Pittsburgh.

You don't have to be a fan of a specific team, you could just be an overall hockey fan, but if you do want to have a team to cheer for it's entirely up to you, I suggest you go to the nhl website and look through the team websites, you know learn a little bit about each team and stuff like that and whichever one you like best, you can cheer for. Or maybe you can find a favourite player and cheer for the team they play on. But don't be bandwagon fan, don't cheer for the Bruins JUST because they won the Cup, if you like the Bruins as a team then that's okay, Hockey is a great sport (:

The Maple Leafs most likely. For example, the Buffalo Sabres commentators said there were alomst more Leaf fans in Buffalo than Buffalo fans a month ago. The way the fans were acting in New York last month, you'd think the Leafs were at the Air Canada Center.

I would say that the leafs have the best away fans but lately I've been noticing alot more Penguin's sweaters in the arenas, this is from it being the bandwagon team. But yes the Leafs or Detroit probably have the best away fans

Maple Leafs. Though they haven't won the cup in 40 years and have iced some pretty horrible teams. ( largely due to inept management)
Leafs fans are everywhere and have to be the most loyal fans of any sports team anywhere!

For the most support, it would be the Leafs or the Habs, they have fans all over the globe.
As far as who puts butts in the other teams arenas, it is definitely the Pittsburgh Penguins, they may not always come to cheer for them but they flock to the arena. Case in point was just this week-end on their Western road swing. I heard some stories of how much tickets for those games were getting sold for and they were not cheap.
