I think a lot of them just read the first part of the question and then his answer this question without knowing what it really was all about. They should go back and read the whole thing and edit. One of the best things about this is going back a while later and seeing the other answers and if the person asking has added any details. Those stupid answers are just people flying by grabbing the points.

MisterEd, that is one of those things on here that some days just rankles me to no end! LOL
Nope, a lot of folk don't read the entire question - at least judging from their answers...I put one question some time ago and STARTED it with somewhat of a disclaimer and yet got an answer that showed me the answerer did not read the text below the question banner...
Ah well....yes, I read the entire question and try to answer it to the best of my ability [IF I know anything about it] - and often keep up with added 'details' the person may have posted.

Good point.
I've seen some undecided votes that are apparently put into the undecided category, because few answers were good at the time. That is when I think they should ask the question again.
I'm not one of those folks who just "puts down anything." I also pick my best answers out of those who take the time to say more than three words. (I don't need a book, but a paragraph or two is much better.)
God bless.

I do actually come on to here to try and give intelligent helpful answers but all too often I find, what I thought was a serious Question, turns out to be a joke.
I did post a Q a while ago about jokes on Senior Citizens saying we have a joke section, why not use it? I have given up worrying about it now because some of my best mates on here post jokes. I just go with flow.

Oh lighten up Ed. If you and those that agree with you have nothing more than this to worry about I would say you're pretty darn lucky. I just spoke on the phone with a friend of mine who's son, 21, just came back from Iraq where he lost both arms and legs. I always read the whole question and answer the way I want to at the time. So continue shaking your heads and thank your lucky stars. I have more important things to concern myself with. Merry Christmas!

I really do read them...sometimes twice!...just to make sure I've understood what the person is asking. Have to agree with you, though...there are times when you can see that the responder just didn't "get it"...and other times when you know it's just a point thing to them.
Can't say that about most people here in Seniors though...whether it's a serious answer or a funny one...you know that they took time and put some thought into it.

I read the whole question and the story that goes with it if any. Sometimes I misread it and have been known to go back and edit what I wrote. I don't just write anything. I am not doing it for the points either.
I have laughed at some of the answers my self and I am sure some have laughed at mine as well.

I hardly ever read the jokes. I am not much of a joke person. I do read the questions and I give real answers that are truly my opinion. Probably most of the time most people don't agree with me but what the heck. I am what I am and that is... honest.

Sometimes the spelling is so bad, it's hard to follow the question. Often I'll read it, then read the previous answers, & none of it makes sense to me.
Other times, I try to get the answer in really fast (which is hard because i can't type) & I find I misread the question.

I totally read the question and try to answer it to the best of my ability, I may sometimes misread the question and not get the questioners point and then my answer may not be what the questioner was looking for,.....but I always read it
